We listen to your ideas, your needs and your dreams before we provide comprehensive planning, design and engineering. We collaborate with the best architects, designers, and craftsmen in the industry to create your vision based on your distinctive needs.
Step 1 - Consultation
Schedule an introduction meeting with our team. Bring your pictures, plans, and ideas!
Step 2 - Preliminary Renderings & Budget Analysis
Based on your ideas and budget we will run a preliminary cost analysis and review floor plans with you.
Step 3 - Architectural Meetings
Once you have made the big decision to become part of the Peterson team we will schedule an appointment with the architect who best fits your style. We work closely with you, the architect, and building designers, attending every meeting
Step 4 - Plan Review and Cost Analysis
DC Peterson and the inhouse interior designer will review your plans and critique every aspect of your home. This process of analyzing your plans based on our building experience and the wealth of knowledge from working with clients allows us to fine-tune room sizes, traffic patterns, furniture placement, cabinet design, and all structural components and engineering.
Step 5 - Exterior Design, and Lot Fit
Our experienced staff will guide you through the process of selecting materials to optimize the uniqueness of your home, selecting brick, stone, stucco, wood, architectural details, window style, colors, and all components related to the exterior of you home. We will also help you with lot placement, giving consideration to energy efficiency and lighting.
Step 6 - Construction Loan, Design Appointments, and Preconstruction Meetings
Before we begin construction we will walk you through the loan process. Our designers will begin your interior design selections of flooring, lighting, granite and marble, and all of the design elements in your home. Once most of your selections are complete we will once again review your plans and take you to the next step- building your dream home!
Step 7 - Building Your Home
During the building process our team will schedule regular meetings with you and have specific check points along the way to make sure all details of your new home turn out better than you even imagined!
Step 8 - Moving In!
Building a home is a collaborative effort between our team and your family. After move-in we will not leave you. We will touch-up paint after the movers have finished, spend time with you making sure you know how your home works, and of course provide warranty on your new your home.
